The partnership with Uniglobe Travel International, was established in 2012. It is a Canadian company defined by a passion for travel. Uniglobe Travel was founded by award-winning franchise entrepreneur U. Gary Charlwood.
At UNIGLOBE Travel, the charity of choice is Plan International, which provides basic necessities of life such as clean water, disaster relief, shelter and education to the world's poorest communities. Below is a snapshot of our recent charitable activities.
UNIGLOBE is the first international travel franchise company to introduce a carbon offset program to help our business customers reduce the impact of air travel on climate change.
In their local communities, UNIGLOBE member agencies, Global Partners and their employees also donate their time and resources to support local causes that are close to their hearts.

For several years, staff from UNIGLOBE member agencies have been actively raising funds to help Plan International meet the basic needs of children in impoverished countries and conduct emergency relief activities.
Because I am a Girl is Plan International's initiative to empower young girls and women to lift themselves out of poverty and contribute to developing economies around the world. UNIGLOBE Travel (British Isles and EMEA) is committed to raising awareness and funds for this campaign across our organization.

A 2009 report entitled Because I am a Girl: The State of the World's Girls revealed that girls in the world's poorest regions are among the most disadvantaged in the world. Girls are three times more likely to be malnourished and some 60 million girls are not in primary school. The report found that every year, struggling economies lose billions of dollars because they fail to invest in girls and young women.
